that settles it.

yesterday started springbreak [hurrah], so i spent my night last night driving home, of course. last night was practically the best driving time ive ever had, aside from the trip where i wrote my book [and that was only a better time because i might make money off that book]. it was beautiful weather, i made an awesome tape [because i still dont have a cdplayer because someone stole mine] and on the tape i put the music of my life and it made me osohappy because i am having good taste in music at the moment] and i listened to it, and i even had a absolute fling with the boys in the car next door [it was darling] [mad skills, let me tell you.] and i had a hot fudge sundae. and my car didnt even blow up, and i didnt get pulled over. [those are my two biggest fears about driving you know.] it was really lovely all around.
so much more to say--driving does that to me too. i think of all these things to say but no one to say them too, so i have them all saved up.
but i shall keep my mouth shut at the moment and go bake some banananutbread. this is one of the things i can bake very well. [i not only keep a list of things i can do well, but also a list of things i can cook / bake well. let me just say that the cooking list is much shorter and the list of things i can do is only 16 items long. hum.] or i might make blueberry muffins, even though those are not on my list of baking things. we have muffins every sunday morning that im around for [i dont know about the mornings im not around for, obviously], and i am in charge of them, but goodness knows why. i mean, they arent terrible or anything. but you know.
or i might go write for things that are very serious in nature. serious enough that the highheel shoes are going on my feet. i think they make me more productive and therefore i think i am going to wear them all the time, at least sometime everyday because 1) think of how women in the older days alwaysalways had great legs--it was because off the all-the-time heels, i am perfectly convinced and 2) how many things they always got done. things were always done in those days. i dont do well at getting things done sometimes. and of course, since im going to be writing for real [real=$, hopefully] and it has to be perfect and ill be editing that and everything else ive written since january, it might be a rather miserable week. those things make me sortof miserable until after its over, you know.
so: driving is done, highheels are on feet, music is playing, productivity / misery is and will be happening and mouth is shut till later [you know, i said that at the beginning too and i dont think it worked.] until then, i shall ponder the wonders of an electric pencil sharpener. up until this point in my life, i purchased a manual pencil sharpener on every occassion that i have had to purchase myself a pencil sharpener. granted, this has only been maybe twice in my lifetime, and i generally dont mind sharpening my pencils. but tonight, i got out my pencil [because i am a pencil girl, you know] and sharpened it on my parents electic pencil sharpener and i was shocked and amazed. when i grow up, i think that will be the first thing i buy myself.
