five-seven-five

[ explanation:
i can count to five
and seven. poems are fun.
i wrote some haikus.]

losing things
i never find what
im lookng for in the first
spot. i look some more.

friday nights
i will always win
when we play monopoly
please take a chance [card].

summer night
lightning bugs, fly slow
we have a jar full of grass
and twigs just for you.

tell me
delightful lies or
painful truth? give me both, but
only if its nice.

bedtime
three pillows for one
person? i sleep with just one
[and a teddy bear].

to hurley:
greasy truck drivers
should leave way better tips. duh.
no, i wont call you.

emo boy
i wear black, glasses
and play music. no girls here.
i stand and i cry.

forgiveness
sometimes i forget.
sometimes i refuse again.
sometimes i mean it.
II.
always you 'member
always you offer again
always you mean it.

attention to detail:
how she eats her cheese
is important when you think
she is beautiful.

what to do:
talking to you makes
me smile. so talk to me and
feed me icecream, please.

the shoes
little greenish bug
you are crawling on my rug
i have bug killing shoes.

where to find me
between the eighty-
third and eighty-forth floor is
my small corner world.

The New Oven:
I.
the heat was too much.
we mourn the loss of oven
a great hole remains.
II.
cursing appliance-
men bring the new oven. it
cant fit through the door.
III.
they forgot the tape
measure. theres no way it will
fit. no one is glad.
IV.
doorways are too small.
appliance men look flustered.
disassemble it.
V.
could not find money.
we all look. man waits and stares.
we will call for help.
VI.
finally in place
we can cook with it at last
it is beautiful.
VII. The epilogue: The instruction guide
"Very Important:
may be harmful or fatal
when used near your bird."

the new oven: part 2
the oven smells bad
but it cooks good. we like to
eat the cookies we make.

traffic violations
we saw the police
they were pulled over by a
man in a red jeep.

im wondering:
do you choose to love?
or are you stuck and then choose?
or do you just love?

scope
there should be scope for
imagination every-
where; also, here too.

big trucks
the big truck made noise
i thought concrete was falling
on my head. oh no.

drive me
crazy because you
brought me with you, not because
you went without me.

"whats your name?"
"it starts with J. guess."
i guessed. " no!-- Angelica!" [?!?!]
"they call me Jelly."
